Survival Mechanics Overview
Your character has persistent Hunger and Thirst meters that drain over time. Failing to manage your vitals leads to dehydration or starvation, causing impaired vision, slower stamina recovery, and eventually total incapacitation.

Checking Status
- Bottom left: In the bottom left corner of your screen you will have indicators for Hydration, Nutrition and Health.
- mobiGlas (F1): Opens the main dashboard to check your exact medical status.
A few of the Survival Indicators

Buying & Finding Consumables
- Food (burritos, energy bars, fruit) and drinks (water, energy drinks, juices) can be purchased at station cargo decks, convenience stores, armor shops, or looted from containers and enemy bodies or containers.
CRUZ Lux is considered a staple among most pilots in the verse as it refills both Hydration and Nutrition.
Different CRUZ flavors can be had from different locations, find closest purchase location using CStone: Universal Item Finder!

Helmet Removal & The Quick-Drink Mechanic
You can not eat or drink while wearing a helmet. You will have to remove it temporarily to be able to consume beverages or foods.
How to drink and eat
- Press Left-Alt + H to unequip the helmet, it will clip to your belt repeat to put back on.
- Press I to open your inventory
- Drag a beverage or food from your inventory to your hand slot in the inventory.
- Close inventory and press and hold Left-Mouse button to drink or eat what ever is in your hand.
Sometimes you can use the quick purchase option at vendors or food stalls, this puts the food or drink directly in your hand, you can then proceed to consume it without having to go into your inventory.
Survival Tips & Environment Safety
- Hazardous Atmospheres: Always check oxygen status (lung icon) before removing your helmet! Removing a helmet in a vacuum, toxic atmosphere, or extreme heat/cold will result in rapid asphyxiation and death.
- Storing Drinks: Energy drinks and water bottles can be stored in light/medium armor legs, core and backpacks for field trips.
- Trash & Empty Containers: Empty bottles and wrappers remain in your hand after consumption. Just press Left-Mouse button to enter "place" mode, what you do with it once consumed is up to you, CGI has not implemented trash cans yet..
